What's with this aversion to opening doors all of a sudden?!

PULL. THE. DOOR. OPEN.

I purposely open the closed door. If I whack someone, too bad. They should be on their side and not trying to squeeze through the only open door with the whole hoard of people behind it.

*high pitched giggly voice* You know, germies! Don't wanna touch anything that might give me germies! */end voice*

*regular voice* That's what I figure it to be. The princes and princesses don't want to have to touch the door of the common cold.

Bicky is probably right, but I just figured it was overwhelming laziness and stupidity.

major pet peeve, I hate when people literally turn sideways to squeeze through a door rather than push or hold it open for a second so the person behind can grab it.
My favourite incident was this 20 something year old girl chatting away on her cell one morning and holding her purse in the other squeezing through the doors, I must have had 2 doors close on me behind her until getting to another door where the person in front of her did the same thing and she actualy gave me a dirty look for not grabbing the door as I stood behind her. I actually laughed because I hesitated on helping her for that very reason. Yes I am a bitch some days lol.

THIS ANNOYS ME EVERYDAY AT NORTH YORK CENTRE! Everyone in both directions tries to squeeze themselves through the automatic door (for wheelchairs), while there are two other doors which everyone is too lazy to open. Everyday I'm the only person who bothers to use one of the other two doors, and of course I pass all the people trying to get through the one automatic door.

This is a very Toronto thing. I have never seen it to the same degree anywhere else. Its like they think they have arms amputated at the elbows.
